From Cornwall’s Cliffs to the UK’s First Animal Sanctuary Drone Show

Two Light Dynamix clients. Two completely different locations. Two brilliant examples of where building a drone light show business can take you.

This year, Afterglow Drone Light Shows and LumaNation are taking their Light Dynamix fleets into some seriously impressive settings — from the Cornish cliffs to the UK’s first-ever drone light show at an animal sanctuary.

For us, seeing our technology become part of projects like these is exactly what it’s all about.

Afterglow Takes to the Cornish Cliffs

Cornwall-based Afterglow Drone Light Shows has been taking its Light Dynamix fleet into one of the most impressive settings imaginable: the Cornish coastline.

At Land’s End, the team has been delivering regular drone light shows against the cliffs and open Atlantic sky, bringing a completely different form of nighttime entertainment to one of Cornwall’s best-known visitor attractions.

It marks a major step for a team that has spent the past year developing its skills, building operational experience and growing its drone show business.

We’ve worked closely with Afterglow throughout that journey, supplying its fleet alongside training, technical guidance and continued support.

Now, that work is translating into regular public displays in one of the UK’s most recognisable locations.

LumaNation Makes History at Wildheart Animal Sanctuary

Meanwhile, over on the Isle of Wight, LumaNation has achieved a completely different milestone — delivering the first-ever drone light show at an animal sanctuary.

The show took place at Wildheart Animal Sanctuary as part of its 50th anniversary celebrations, with LumaNation creating a bespoke Wildheart-themed finale using its Light Dynamix fleet.

It’s not the sort of location most people immediately associate with a drone show — and that’s exactly what makes it so interesting.

LumaNation has built its offering around taking drone displays into everything from festivals and corporate events to special venues and visitor attractions, and this show is a brilliant example of that approach in action.

Drone Light Shows Are Finding New Spaces

What’s particularly exciting about both projects is what they say about the direction the drone light show industry is heading.

Drone displays are no longer limited to huge one-off events or major city celebrations.

We’re increasingly seeing operators work with visitor attractions, heritage sites, festivals, brands, private events and unusual venues that are looking for new ways to create memorable nighttime experiences.

Their flexibility opens up opportunities in places where traditional pyrotechnics may not always be the natural fit, while bespoke choreography means every show can be designed around the location, audience or story being told.

For businesses entering the industry, that creates a much broader range of possibilities.

A fleet might begin with smaller local events and demonstrations, but as experience grows, so does the variety and scale of the projects operators can take on.

Afterglow and LumaNation are great examples of exactly that.

Seeing Where Our Clients Go Next

There’s something particularly exciting about seeing the same Light Dynamix technology being used in two completely different ways.

One fleet lighting up the Cornish coastline.

Another making history with the first drone light show at an animal sanctuary.

And both are part of a much bigger shift in how drone light shows are being used across the UK.

A huge congratulations to the teams at Afterglow Drone Light Shows and LumaNation.

We’re proud to be part of both journeys — and we’re looking forward to seeing where their fleets take them next.
